Before turning to the music, De Lorenzo interviewed Alfredo Boullón, director of the retirement home, and Javier López-Galiacho, head of corporate responsibility at FCC. They spoke about managing the home, residents' profiles, funding, the involvement of its benefactor, Esther Koplowitz, and the lecture series organised on Fridays and sponsored jointly by the Esther Koplowitz Foundation and FCC Volunteers.

Nuestra Casa is a 140-bed home for elderly people without means, designed by architect José Luis Sáez de Heredia and presented by the Esther Koplowitz Foundation to the Madrid Regional Government in 2001.

Antonio de Lorenzo is a journalist and an expert in industrial security.

As a student, he collaborated with France Inter on shortwave programmes broadcast from Paris to Latin America.

Although De Lorenzo has worked in corporate communication, he has always maintained ties with print media (La Gaceta del Norte, La Rioja, and several magazines) and with radio.

His first job was with Metra Seis, a market research firm.

He joined FCC in 1983, and headed the Group's Corporate Image Department until his retirement, just over two years ago, although he maintains his ties with the group by managing FCC Foundation.

De Lorenzo currently owns two stations: La Voz de los Valles, which broadcasts in La Rioja on the 107.2 and 107.9 MHz FM bands, and "Música en español", a programme of Spanish music that is syndicated online to Spanish-language radio stations around the world.

After the residents thanked him for his musical presentation, De Lorenzo received the traditional speaker's gift from López-Galiacho: a work of art from ArteDown.
