Cruz Roja thanks FCC for collaborating on the campaign "Dream of fairytales this Christmas"

The Cruz Roja (Spanish Red Cross) this morning handed over a diploma of gratitude to Carlos M. Jarque, executive director and CEO of FCC, for the collaboration of employees from the Citizen Services Group on the international campaign "Dream of fairytales this Christmas".

In a ceremony held at the FCC headquarters in Las Tablas (Madrid), Carlos Cortés Fabregat, head of Cruz Roja Juventud, and Jaime Gregori Soler, head of the Department of Fundraising, Collaboration with Companies and SR of the Cruz Roja Española, showed their gratitude for the approximately 2,500 books handed over by Group employees as part of this Christmas campaign.

These books were used for the campaign "Educational Toy 2015", whereby the Cruz Roja were able to ensure that over 60,000 children and adolescents between 0 and 17 years of age received Christmas presents last year. In addition, Cruz Roja representatives also showed their gratitude for the ongoing collaboration between FCC and the Cruz Roja in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.

The FCC Christmas campaign aimed to showcase all of those who took part in it. Therefore, all employees in Spain and other parts of the world where the Group is present were asked to donate their favourite children's story to the Cruz Roja and take part in the Christmas greeting by singing a Christmas carol.

This recent collaboration between FCC and the humanitarian organisation marks a new chapter of the already well-established relationship between both. The Citizen Services Group regularly collaborates on employees' blood donation campaigns at its different facilities. There is currently a collaboration agreement, signed in 2011, in force in order to promote entry of female victims of gender-based violence into the labour market.
