National prizes awarded to the Foxhall domestic waste recycling centre and the Greatmoor EFW facility

The domestic waste recycling centre in Suffolk and the design of the largest single line Energy from Waste (EFW plant) in the United Kingdom have been recognised at a national awards ceremony in London.

 

 

National prizes awarded to the Foxhall domestic waste recycling centre and the Greatmoor EFW facility

The domestic waste recycling centre in Foxhall, Suffolk, managed by FCC Environment, was recognised as the Civic Amenity Site of the Year in the 2017 Excellence in Recycling and Waste Management awards.

The EfW plant in Greatmoor, a partnershipbetween Buckinghamshire County Council and FCC Environment that converts black bag waste into clean, green energy, was also recognised for innovation in the design of a waste management facility.

FCC Environment UK’s Chief Executive  Paul Taylor said “The Awards for Excellence 2017 have been a real success story for FCC Environment working in partnership with key customers. I would like to thank all the hard working people on the ground who deliver these award winning facilities day in and day out, they can be very proud of their achievements.”
