FCC cancelled its annual holiday party this year and donated the budget of 40,000 euro to Caritas.

FCC donates festive party budget to Caritas

José Manuel Velasco, General Manager of Communication and CSR at FCC, presented the cheque to Rafael del Río, Chairman of Caritas.

Mr. del Río thanked FCC for its trust in Caritas and for the generosity of its employees, which spur the charity to continue to work for the people most in need.

Caritas will use the funds to strengthen initiatives in place which help disadvantaged individuals and families.

Mr Velasco noted that "Caritas was performing praiseworthy social work long before the crisis shone a light on the situation of people in need."

Caritas Española is funded mainly by private donations and public contributions. Its network in Spain comprises around 6,000 parish chapters, 68 diocesan offices and the corresponding regional branches.
