FCC to clean the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy

FCC Environmental, an FCC Ámbito subsidiary which provides environmental services in the US, was awarded the contact to remove fuel and clean the tanks of the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy.

This project is part of the ship refurbishment programme implemented by the US Navy to certify the cleaning of ships that are to be sunk with a view to creating artificial reefs to develop marine life.

The contract is worth 1.5 million dollars and will be executed over 8 months. The work will be performed at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
