FCC Medio Ambiente has taken part in the 19th edition of the International Beaches Conference and Exhibition, held on 8–10 November at  El Kursaal in San Sebastián, organised by Ategrus and targeted at stakeholders including political representatives from local authorities, municipal technicians, private companies, universities, research centres and engineering firms.

The objective of Ecoplayas 2017 has been to provide a technical overview of all aspects of beach-related issues. In parallel to the conference an indoor exhibition was mounted, where FCC Medio Ambiente was represented on a stand by its subsidiary SVAT (Sistemas y Vehículos de Alta Tecnología), presenting a sample of vessels used for cleaning coastal waters.

Salvador Martí, production manager at the Catalonia I office of FCC Medio Ambiente, spoke at the conference about the beach-cleaning service that FCC provides throughout the Greater Barcelona area, highlighting the high level of specialisation of the resources allocated and the importance for this service of applied technology. He also showed an information video about the service, produced in partnership with Greater Barcelona.
