Fernando Falcó conveys his passion for motoring at the Friday lecture series at Nuestra Casa Retirement Home

Fernando Falcó, Marquess of Cubas and Director of FCC, participated in the Friday lecture series at Nuestra Casa retirement home in Collado Villaba; the series is organised by the Esther Koplowitz Foundation and the FCC Volunteer Programme as part of the company's CSR master plan.

Fernando Falcó spoke about his relationship with the world of motoring to an audience comprised of residents, staff, volunteers and guests. Falcó was chairman of Spain's Royal Automobile Club (RACE) for many years, and he also held the post of global vice-chairman of the International Automobile Federation (FIA). Under his chairmanship, the RACE made great strides in serving motorists, and the legendary Jarama race track experienced a golden age.

Fernando Falcó provided an overview of the history of motoring and shared his ideas and expertise about road safety, the future of the electric car, vehicles and the city, and the automobile industry and its efforts to reduce CO2 emissions. He also made a strong case for wearing seat belts and careful driving habits.

Upon completion of his presentation, Falcó received a standing ovation for his knowledge and passion on the subject. There followed a question and answer session. Then Justo, a popular resident, performed a Castillian seguidilla dance to thank both Falcó and Esther Koplowitz, the home's benefactor, on behalf of the residents.
