This prize acknowledges the excellent work in prevention that this Office has been doing since 2008, starting with the implementation of a prevention programme against alcohol and other drug use, and concluding with the accreditation by Aenor, which granted its Healthy Company certificate of conformity.

The Atlante Prize is held every two years and its aim is to contribute to the creation of an authentic culture of prevention by means of raising public awareness about the prevention activities and good practices of companies residing or based in Catalonia.

It must be highlighted that this prevention programme had already been acknowledged as a good business practice, due to its innovative nature, by the Deputy Directorate General of Drug Addiction of the Government of Catalonia and by the INSHT (Spanish National Institute of Workplace Health and Safety) of the Ministry of Labour and Immigration, and at European level, by the FASE (Focus on Alcohol Safe Environment) and EWA (European Workplace an Alcohol) programmes.

The awards ceremony was held in Fomento del Trabajo's auditorium in Barcelona, and the photo shows the director of the Catalunya II Local Office, Jesús Padullés Caba, accepting the award.
