Participate in FCC's blood drive: "All in with La Roja, the gift of life is the best trophy"

World Blood Donor Day is celebrated every year on 14 June to raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and thank donors for their life-saving gifts of blood.

FCC has partnered with the Red Cross to launch the second voluntary blood drive in 2018 at the work centres in Las Tables and Federico Salmón, in which regard the company continues an annual tradition to promote donations and encourage the participation of its staff in this life-saving action.

FCC created the slogan “Todos con La Roja, el mayor trofeo es regalar vida” [All in with La Roja, the gift of life is the best trophy] to attract even more donors with the goal of doubling the participation figures from our first blood drive and surpass 150 blood donors.

What we do really counts, but this time donating blood comes with a reward. Donors will be entered into a raffle for three tickets to visit Wanda Metropolitano, a world-class stadium built by FCC Construcción.

Please note that the first call for donors will be on 18 June at the Federico Salmón offices, where a mobile unit will be set up at the entrance; and between 19 June and 21 June in Las Tablas, where the unit will again be set up on Calle Rabé de las Calzadas 1.

Anyone wishing to donate must bring their national ID card and, according to indications from the Red Cross, should first eat before giving blood.

Donations should be done constantly and regularly to safeguard the availability of reserve blood banks. Doing so requires the involvement, collaboration and solidarity of everyone who can donate blood and entities such as FCC and the Red Cross to make the means and resources available for transfusions at the workplace.
