FCC holds its first international conference on management

The event was held on 23 April at Alpine's offices in Vienna and was attended by the top executives in FCC's international businesses. In his presentation, FCC Chairman and CEO Baldomero Falcones reasserted the company's strategic lines for the coming months against a still very difficult economic backdrop, and highlighted the company's strengths, in particular its geographic and sectoral diversification.

The event was an opportunity for the chairmen, CEOs and general managers of FCC group companies to discuss the operational approaches that will ensure budgetary compliance in 2011 and to identify synergies to facilitate the development of their businesses. The heads of Alpine, Waste Recycling Group Limited (WRG), FCC Environmental, .A.S.A. and SmVaK.

In his closing remarks, Falcones discussed the group's main growth drivers, i.e. activities in sectors with rapid growth and unlimited demand: environmental services, infrastructure and renewable energies. He also underlined the need to find synergies between FCC's various business areas and acknowledged that the group has a superb team of highly qualified professionals whose commitment is vital for "emerging stronger from the crisis."
