Seven women from FCC Group successfully complete the Management Development Programme for Women with High Potential

FCC and the Industrial Organisation School (EOI) have finished the seventh Pre-Management Development Programme, promoted and partially financed by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality through the Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality.

Participating in this edition were Marta Rovira Foraste, Ana Escribano Sánchez and María Ángeles Polo Ávalos from Aqualia, María de los Milagros Garrote de Marcos from FCC Construcción and Virginia Martín Espín, Josefa Moreno Hernández and Sonia Serrano Batanero from FCC Corporate Central Services. The women who form part of various business areas in FCC Group have successfully finished this training programme to facilitate the acquisition and development of management competences and skills to take on greater management responsibilities in the future. The programme takes a multi-disciplinary approach, focusing on key aspects such as equal opportunities, diversity and business ethics. The final aim is to increase companies’ awareness of the benefits of female talent and thus progress towards a balanced participation of men and women in key decision-making positions.

The course provides multi-disciplinary training to empower the participants’ management capabilities and to enrich personal and professional development, enhancing teamwork and the inter-relationship among participants, creating a network of contacts between teachers and students.

It was held from April to November 2017, combining classroom and online sessions. Throughout the course, the matters covered included finance, management skills for the management of efficient and motivated teams, operational management to understand the functional areas of the business organisation, management in companies to discover the keys to innovation and to identify business opportunities as well as an individual coaching process.

This programme is a decisive factor for professional projection with 45 students from the FCC having taking part since 2011.
