A new philosophy for a new FCC
Intervention by Ms Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, Chairwoman of FCC, at the Group's Board of Directors Meeting held on 13 January 2015 in Madrid.
I am going to attempt to, just briefly, list the principles and values that I feel should define our philosophy in taking on the task of this new FCC.
To do this, I have taken a close look at the features that have been key to our company's evolution up to now, those that are at the root of our identity, and I have also analysed in detail the principles supporting the good work done by the CARSO Group, with which we share fundamental values:
- Confidence in our capacity to build a better and different future.
- Passion for life at the company. Let us not forget that, in addition to firm and patient optimism, putting passion into what we do always brings good results. We learned this from our mothers.
- Just like we also learned to put our souls into things, resorting to creativity, generosity of spirit and keeping an open perspective as the driving forces behind adaptation and the constant search for modernity.
- Being fast and flexible in decision-making in order to enhance our productivity and competitiveness.
- Unifying teams, being aware of joint efforts and collective intelligence, as well as recognition of equality, diversity and talent as the means for us all to progress.
- Austerity as a principle, in every circumstance.
- And awareness of the fact that, through our projects, we are committed to improving the well-being of our fellow citizens.
These are the principles and values that have characterised our daily activities up to now and, I have no doubt, will continue to light the way for us in this new FCC.
