The group of volunteers from FCC, some of them accompanied by their children, shared this third reforestation event together with other companies in the private sector, government branches and NGOs, planting various examples of cedar hawthorn, cocobolo, lignum vitae and oak, among other tree species.

Forestry engineers from the Ministry of the Environment showed the participants the correct procedure for installing each of the plants chosen to replant the area.

Rodrigo Lazo, Safety, Health, Quality and Environment Manager of FCC Construcción Centroamérica, emphasise the great educational value of the initiative "since it is a way to teach future generations of the benefit to our planet of reforestation.”

The purpose of this public/private alliance is to reforest a million hectares within 20 years to rescue green areas, preserve the environment and form part of the commitments to mitigate climate change which Panama presented to the United Nations Organisation during the initiatives presented in the Paris Climate Conference.
