This project, located in the region of the Ribera de Ebro in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, involved eliminating more than a century's worth of toxic waste dumped in the River Ebro from activity carried out by the industry in the area.

The works include complementary actions such as installing an emergency water supply for the towns located downstream from the Flix reservoir and, in this way, prevent the risk of pollution and protect the Sebes nature reserve, located on the bank opposite the factory.
