The FCC Group's construction division holds its 3rd Administration and Finance Conference

The FCC Group's construction division has held its 3rd Administration and Finance Conference, bringing together more than 180 employees who work in Administration and Finance in the 23 countries in which the FCC Group's construction division carries out its projects. 

The institutional opening of the conference was given by the CEO of FCC, Pablo Colio, who indicated the positive evolution over the years of the company's Administration and Finance Department, knowing how to anticipate the trends that the market has been imposing on large companies, and for this reason it has made it possible for us to position ourselves as a preferred company based on criteria of efficiency, rigour, transparency and effectiveness in management. 

The administration and finance department at FCC Construcción has acquired a multifaceted nature, which has allowed them to understand the rigour in the deployment and implementation of our Code of Ethics and Conduct and our compliance model; to lead the responsible commitment to financial sustainability as a key element in the taxonomy of the projects we develop in the countries in which we operate. Also in this continuous learning that you develop, you have understood that digitalisation and new technologies are necessary tools to project our activity with efficiency. 

She has indicated the necessary piece for the design or construction project team of which the Administration and Finance Department is a part, accompanying and mentoring the technicians, managers and project managers throughout the evolution of the project. This support in projects allows us to impose our way of working in consortia and to lead the administration of projects, controlling all stages of development. 

Next, the CFO of the FCC Group's construction area gave a word of welcome to the attendees and presented the different key topics of the day: compliance in the financial function, where compliance procedures and controls were reviewed; SAP S/4-HANA update, where the processes and steps for effective adaptation to SAP S/4-HANA were analysed; finally, ‘Cost Management and Control’ was presented, the administration function in project cost control.

These conferences involve taking advantage of the synergies and activities that each and every one of the people who form part of the Administration and Finance Department carry out in each of the projects that the company executes around the world.
