During the visit, the head of Spanish sport was impressed with the stadium, emphasising the importance of renovating large stadiums in Spain such as the case of this latest generation modern installation. He also noted the ease that fans will have to reach the Wanda Metropolitano thanks to its large offer of public transport and the accesses being built by FCC.

Currently, FCC Construcción is finalising the radial rings of the membrane that will cover the Wanda Metropolitano grandstands. The roof consists of 720 PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) panels covering 83,000 square metres, a unique and differentiating element from the rest of the European sports facilities designed in recent years.
