The First Minister of Wales (United Kingdom) has visited the project, carried out by FCC Construcción, to improvement the A-465 dual carriageway. The Welsh First Minister expressed his astonishment at the positive degree of progress of the project as well as the innovative aspects that are being used in its construction. In addition, the strong social and environmental actions developed with the local communities affected by the project were shown.

The project developed under the PPP model consists of the improvement of the A465 dual carriageway, in sections 5 and 6, which have a length of 17.3 kilometers and are located between the towns of Dowlais Top, Merthyr Tydfil and Hirwaun. Currently, these sections of the highway have a single carriageway and heavy traffic.

The completion of the project will complete the splitting of the A465 dual carriageway, which is important for improving mobility and connectivity in Wales, as well as for the reactivation of the local economy. The improvement of the A465 represents a significant investment that will enable the generation of a set of benefits for local companies that participate in the development of the work.
