The expansion project for the A-465 motorway in Wales (United Kingdom) obtains the BREEAM Infrastructure (CEEQUAL) certification with an excellent rating.
Sustainability plays an increasingly important role in FCC's activity. At Future Valleys Construction (FVC) we have a clear commitment to ensure that our work to build the new A465 motorway between Hirwaun and Dowlais Top. Sustainability has been integrated into the Project since the design phase.
As part of this commitment to sustainability, FVC has been evaluated by BREEAM Infraestructuras. Known as CEEQUAL, it is a sustainability assessment method designed specifically for infrastructure projects. It provides a comprehensive assessment of the environmental, social and economic impacts of a project.
Committing to BREEAM Infrastructure helps ensure that the Project meets the highest sustainability standards and delivers tangible benefits to the communities in which we are working. The evaluation process is rigorous and involves detailed reports. Our evaluation has obtained a score of 82%, category "excellent".
There will be a second evaluation in 2025 that will focus on our construction work.
