The FCC Construcción project “Autovía Mudéjar A-23. Section: Congosto de Isuela-Arguis ”has won the honorable mention at the “Acueducto de Segovia” 2019, of the Engineers Association.

The winning section has a length of 3.3 kilometers and follows the axis formed by the N-330 road, which is used, partially, as one of the roads of the highway, the other being a new road. These are works framed in a mountainous environment of great geological and geotechnical complexity, in the so-called port of Monrepós: the whole section is characterized by running on a ramp between 4% and 7%.

The cross section of the highway is formed by two roads with two lanes of 3.50 meters, separated by a median of 1.2 meters to 2 meters (or nonexistent if they are independent), interior shoulders of 1.00 meters and exterior 2.50 meters and side berms of 0.75 meters. The section includes the link of Arguis, trumpet type, which gives access to the current Monrepós Tunnel Control Center, the town of Arguis and the Nocito Valley.

Likewise, 3 new viaduct-type structures, 2 pedestrian walkways, 1 reinforced concrete wall and 2 other underpass structures have been executed, as well as the conditioning of 3 existing viaducts on the descent road to Huesca in which it has been necessary to adapt the Flush of the N-330 road to the flush of the highway.
