The prestigious magazine StadiumDB has launched its eighth annual "best stadium in the world 2017". This edition brings together a list of more than 27 football stadiums in the world, which have been inaugurated and constructed throughout 2017.
In this list, the Wanda Metropolitano, built by FCC Construcción, appears at the top.

The contest consists of two phases, a first phase of popular voting and a second phase of evaluation of a jury constituted by international architects.

Among the football stadiums competing for the prize with the Wanda Metropolitano, we highlight: Nemesio Díez Stadium in Mexico, Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta (USA), U-Arena in Paris (France) or Samsun 19 Mayıs Stadyumu in Turkey among others.
