Esther Alcocer Koplowitz Attends the Reception Hosted by Emmanuel Macron on the Occasion of His Official Visit to Spain

Esther Alcocer Koplowitz, chairwoman of the FCC Group, attended as a guest the return reception hosted by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte Macron, in honor of Their Majesties the King and Queen of Spain, Felipe VI and Letizia, on the occasion of the French president’s official visit to our country.

The event, held at the French Embassy in Madrid on September 30, brought together prominent representatives from the business, institutional, cultural, and social spheres, and served as the grand finale to two intense days marked by the strengthening of relations between Spain and France.

The presence of the FCC Chairwoman at this event reflects the Group’s commitment to fostering economic and commercial relations between the two countries. In this context, FCC maintains a significant presence in France through its various business areas, developing projects and services that contribute to sustainable progress and the well-being of citizens.

FCC Group’s Activities in France

The FCC Group began its journey in France in 2019 through its subsidiary Aqualia, with the acquisition of the French company Services Publics et Industries Environnement (SPIE)—a transaction that marked its entry into the French water management market. Since then, the company has progressively consolidated and expanded its presence in the country.

Subsequently, in 2024, FCC Servicios Medio Ambiente consolidated its presence in France with the acquisition of Europe Services Groupe (ESG), thereby expanding the Group’s operations in the field of urban and environmental services. Thanks to this transaction, FCC provides essential waste collection, urban cleaning, and maintenance services in some of the country’s most important metropolitan areas, including Paris and Lyon.
