FCC encourages its employees to stand up for integrity with the publication of its new Code of Ethics
Ethics must be present in all actions and activities carried out within a company. Our Group promotes integrity as one of the four basic principles of conduct, alongside Efficiency, Doing things well and Proximity.
We are currently addressing a greater social demand which calls for ethics, transparency and commitment from companies. To such has been added recent legislative action which regulates the criminal liability of companies for not having exercised due control in the prevention of crime.
Beyond the ethical commitment of the company and the increase of social and legal demands, our conduct has a clear reflection on the reputation of the Group.
In a process of change experienced by FCC, we do not only need global and responsible staff, committed to achieving results, but also, and in particular, a group which displays exemplary conduct.
Our Code of Ethics is the main company standard that regulates internal relationships between FCC employees, as well as the relationships maintained with our interest groups.
There has been great progress made since the approval of the Code of Ethics in 2008. Throughout these years, the Company's Board of Directors and Steering Committee have launched training programs and have reinforced communication systems and research protocols in order to comply with the demanding market environment in which FCC operates. It is now the time to strengthen the personal commitment of employees through the Company's ethical compliance system.
We must all recognise and respect the ethical framework in our work environment, as well as report any unfair conduct that we witness. To this end, the Steering Committee provides all employees with an ethical channel to report, without fear of reprisal, any presumed non-compliance witnessed with the FCC Code of Ethics.
