FCC Construcción develops a set of social actions in its projects in Colombia
FCC Construcción has developed a set of social actions in the Toyo tunnel and the El Salitre WWTP projects.
The initiatives developed are aimed at supporting and helping local communities affected directly or indirectly by the project.
At the El Salitre WWTP, several programs have been started:
- Information, awareness and communication program.
- Employment Generation Program.
- Environmental Training and Education Program.
- Citizen Participation and User Service Program.
- Inter-institutional Coordination Program.
Among the most outstanding actions, we can mention: disclosure of more than 15,000 informative pieces on different aspects of the project; development of 20 awareness sessions with students; more than 1,955 jobs generated; more than 5,182 communications managed with stakeholders; more than 1,598 attendees at awareness sessions and 825 people participated in the workshops; 2,424 interactive visits to the project; 11 universities involved with a total of 2,500 students.
Regarding the Toyo tunnel project, it stands out the realization of more than 50 material donations made to local communities; 3,021 formations to said communities; 210 boys and girls from neighboring educational institutions, benefited from the music education program.
These actions are a sample of the company's commitment to the local communities in which we carry out our activity.
