FCC Construcción and FCC Industrial begin construction of the new Civil Guard Command in Zaragoza

The Minister of the Interior and the General Director of the Civil Guard have visited the construction project of the new Civil Guard Command in Zaragoza carried out by FCC Construcción and FCC Industrial.

The future headquarters will allow all the intervention units to be relocated in a single complex, which will also house the new facilities of the Reserve and Security Group number 5 of the body, which will thus have optimal facilities for its personnel, new sports equipment and specific areas for instruction and training of its troops.

The new barracks will be a zero-emissions complex, since it will not use any fossil fuel. All buildings are designed to have almost zero energy consumption and in any case come from renewable sources, especially from its photovoltaic installation and a high-efficiency aerothermal system.

The complex will be built on a surface area of 51,190 square metres, a plot ceded by the Zaragoza City Council located in the south of the city. The project revolves around a main building around the parade ground that will house the command offices.

Inside the plot, closing off the parade ground square, the building will be erected that will house the Zaragoza Reserve and Security Group number 5.
