FCC Construcción continues to consolidate its growth as an international construction company, occupying position 36 in the list of ENR magazine, “250 contractors in the world” according to financial year 2020.

• by international turnover in 2020: 10 international contractors are Spanish, ranking among the top 152. ACS occupies the first position, followed by Ferrovial, Técnicas Reunidas, Sacyr, FCC, OHLA, Abengoa, Grupo SAN JOSE, COMSA, and Sener.
• by total turnover in 2020: 9 Spanish contractors, the first in position number 10.

Total international turnover, after the slight growth observed in the previous period, the figure has fallen compared to the previous year, going from $ 473,070 million in 2019 to $ 420,400 million in 2020.

Of the total international activity, Spanish companies have again 14.9% (62,605.8 M $), the same in percentage as the previous year but in a lower volume, corresponding to the global decrease.

They continue in second position, behind Chinese companies (78 companies, 4 more than the previous year) that continue to expand their advantage with 25.6% of the international market (25.4% in 2019). However, a slight decline in these is observed in Latin America / Caribbean, in which they account for 21.2% (23.7% last year), on the contrary, Spanish companies slightly increased their presence to 34.0 % from 32.8% the previous year.

As in previous years, Spanish companies lead the markets of Latin America and the Caribbean (34.0%), the United States (33.6% of the total), and occupy the second position in Europe (12.8%) after the French (24.9%).
