FCC Construcción advances in the execution of the new Puertollano Hospital
FCC Construcción is advancing in the construction of the new Puertollano Hospital, which has a development level of 22%. During a visit by the president of Castilla-La Mancha, it was possible to verify the progress made so far. Currently, work is being carried out such as the completion of prefabricated facades, as well as roof waterproofing works and the installation of prefabricated bathrooms.
The new Puertollano hospital is built on the same plot where the current hospital is located, on land that was not occupied. The architectural project contemplates a new building, with a substantially horizontal configuration, which distributes its functional program over four floors above ground and a semi-basement floor, intended mainly for parking.
On the ground floor, patient and public access will be located and the Emergency Services, Rehabilitation, Radiodiagnosis, Blood Bank, Mental Health, Extractions, Pharmacy, Kitchen, Lingerie, Changing Rooms, Teaching, Research and Library, Patient Care services will be available. , Admission and Clinical Documentation.
For its part, the first floor will house the Surgical Block, Sterilization, Obstetric Block, Laboratories, Pathological Anatomy, Endoscopy Area, ICU, Surgical Day Hospital, Medical/Oncological Day Hospital, Consultation area, rooms for on-call staff, direction-management and IT area.
Likewise, the Hospitalization Units are housed on the second and third floors, with a total of four units with 28 rooms each, a mother-child unit with 14 rooms and a sixth reserve unit.
On the semi-basement floor there is a parking lot with 353 spaces, the waste area, central facilities, cleaning, supplies and storage, and maintenance and, finally, crowning the building is the heliport.
The new center will have more than 64,000 square meters built in which a therapeutic infrastructure will be shaped, with open spaces, garden areas, lots of light and unified care areas to promote patient comfort. Specifically, it will expand its portfolio of services with the incorporation of the specialty of Medical Oncology.
