FCC Construcción has celebrated on January 30, in the corporate building of Las Tablas in Madrid, the I BIM Day. This event aims to be an annual meeting point for all the BIM managers of FCC Construcción, to share the main work done to date by the different teams, both nationally and internationally. The day was attended by more than 30 people from various business areas of the company.

The BIM methodology involves the shared use of digital representation and the associated information of the asset (buildings, bridges, roads, industrial plants, etc.) in order to facilitate the design, construction and operation processes. This provides a reliable source of information for decision making at each stage.

FCC Construcción has promoted its digitalization process through the implementation of said methodology. The objective is that the different areas of the company can gain operational efficiency in tenders and works, thus responding to market needs. In technical services a BIM team has been created and in delegations and projects, different specialists have been incorporated to successfully address this implementation process. Additionally, the internal training offer has been extended so that all FCC Construcción personnel who need it can join the digitalization process.
