FCC Construcción completes, in record time, the CV-33 and CV-36 roads devastated by the DANA of 2024

FCC Construcción has completed, in record time, the repair of the Valencian regional roads CV-33 and CV-36, key arteries connecting the city of Valencia with the metropolitan area of Torrent. The total repair work has included the commissioning of the CV-33 viaduct, which is located over the Poyo ravine, the point of origin of the catastrophic flood.

The new CV-33 has been rehabilitated incorporating resilience measures against possible emergencies, with the aim of improving its safety and durability, thus recovering
the four traffic lanes to serve the 17.5 million vehicles that travel annually on this road. The partial reopening of the CV-33 took place just ten days after the flood, on 12 November. The project included the reconstruction of the bridge abutment in the direction of Valencia and the reinforcement of the bases of the other bridge with concrete injection.

With this action, traffic has been restored on the 47.3 kilometres of road network affected, giving Torrent and the entire metropolitan area back a key connection for economic activity and transport.
