FCC Construcción has completed, in record time, the provisional bridge over the Alberche River in the municipality of Aldea del Fresno to reestablish communication between this town and those of Villa del Prado and Chapinería.

In two and a half months, FCC Construcción has completed the structures necessary to return mobility to residents after the DANA that affected the southwest of the region on September 3 and 4.

This is an alternative detour of 650 meters of paved road in the direction of Villa del Prado through which both vehicles and pedestrians can travel, and which will be enabled until the new road is available.

In addition, FCC Construcción is undertaking the design of the final infrastructure, the construction of which will take between nine and fourteen months depending on its complexity, for its entry into operation at the end of next year. These infrastructures make it possible for essential services such as medical emergencies, firefighters and security forces to access the municipalities in the area within a reasonable period of time. It should be noted that the three sections of road where the viaducts that collapsed were located, two on the M-507 and one on the M-510, recorded an average daily intensity of more than 13,000 vehicles.

The towns of Navalcarnero, Villamanta, Villamantilla, Villanueva de Perales, Aldea del Fresno and Villa del Prado are those that suffered the greatest damage as a result of DANA, which also damaged more than 100 km of seven roads in the area.
