FCC Construcción in Panama participates in the "one million hectares" initiative
The construction area of the FCC Group participates in Panama in the "one million hectares" environmental initiative. On June 22, a reforestation was held in Ciudad del Niño, Chorrera, Panama, which brought together political representatives, employees and relatives of FCC. The great day of reforestation was celebrated throughout Panama and the volunteers planted trees produced in more than fifty nurseries of the Ministry of the Environment (MiAmbiente) and the members of the Alliance for the Million Hectares. For months, the nurseries of "MiAmbiente" have produced more than one and a half million seedlings and have chosen places inside and outside protected areas, schools.
The Ministry of Environment (My Environment) of Panama, for five years has been developing the project of the "ALLIANCE FOR THE MILLION OF HECTARES", where FCC has been participating with temporary access works to the planting area, donation of seedlings for the sowing and participation of volunteers with the collaborators of FCC and their relatives for the planting of the seedlings.
