FCC Construction finalist in the prestigious NCE TechFest Awards with its innovation project DOVICAIM

FCC Construcción has been a finalist in the prestigious NCE TechFest Awards with the DOVICAIM innovation project.

After a selection in which the main international construction companies participated, FCC Construcción has been a finalist, so that next July 17, he will defend his candidacy in London before an international and technical jury.

The objective of the project is to develop an integrated methodology and the necessary tools to support the entire life cycle of the construction of vertical dikes through prefabricated caissons in floating caisson, including design, optimization, construction, installation and operation.

The new development will integrate the knowledge and experience acquired in the field, the most advanced numerical models in the study of flow-structure interaction, calibrated and validated with a combination of laboratory and field data unique in their kind.

The DOVICAIM project has brought about a competitive improvement in the field of port engineering and specifically in the field of construction for FCC Construcción, since it has allowed deepening knowledge of the dynamics of the caisson during its funding phase, as well as a significant risk reduction both in the tender phase and in the construction / installation phase.
