FCC Construcción has completed the construction of the slab track corresponding to phase 3A of the future La Sagrera station (Barcelona). This work has included the general tracks and the sidings in the lower part of La Sagrera station, which will soon be put into service to make way for traffic.

The works that have been completed are part of the track assembly contract for this infrastructure. The assembly work is being carried out in phases to make it compatible with the construction of the station and the building of the technical treatment area for trains, and to guarantee the continuity of the rail service.

La Sagrera station is the largest infrastructure project underway in Catalonia. The project is configured as a large multimodal node, which will accommodate high-speed and long-distance services, medium-distance and Cercanías, metro and urban and interurban buses.
