The construction area of the FCC Group has won the contract for the construction of a cold storage facility, with a total area of 24,581 square meters, a warehouse for E-Commerce and the headquarters of the CAPRABO offices (EROSKI group) in Barcelona, as well as the urbanization of the plot.

The awarded contract has an amount of more than 16 million euros and a construction deadline of 12 months.

It is worth noting the dimensions of the warehouse to be built. It has 43 loading docks, of which 31 belong to the refrigerated area, 10 are destined to E-Commerce activities (4 for trucks and 6 for vans) and 2 springs for reverse logistics. In addition, more than 130 parking spaces and a truck cleaning area will be built. In this area, where the main entrance of the building is located, there is a secondary access for workers on the northwest façade.

It will be a sustainable building, certified in LEED-Gold. The future obtaining of the seal constitutes a clear commitment to the sustainability and energy efficiency of the building, both in the construction process and in the start-up and subsequent operation of the same.

This voluntary certification incorporates, from the project phase, aspects related to energy saving, use of alternative energies, improvement of internal environmental quality, efficiency of water consumption and selection of sustainable materials.
