FCC Construcción has won the last of the six sections in which the entire work of the A-33 that will connect Murcia and Valencia through the interior was divided. Once the infrastructure is finished, the length of the route between Murcia and Valencia will be set at 212 kilometers, compared to 258 of the current route that takes place near the coast. This will mean savings for drivers of about 46 kilometers and about 25 minutes in travel time.

The section awarded has a budget of 73.5 million euros and has a construction scope of a road of 21.7 kilometers in length that will allow local traffic from this capital to be separated from long-distance ones.

One of the peculiarities of the work is the construction material to be used. The project includes the construction of a rigid firm of continuous reinforced concrete instead of the traditional firm with bituminous mixtures.

It is a pavement initially executed in 2 layers of concrete. The first of 19 centimeters of a concrete type of concrete and a second of another other than 5 centimeters thick. In addition, a third of 15 centimeters of concrete will be added to the previous 2 layers.
