FCC Construcción wins the sanitation contract for San Miguel de Abona (Tenerife)

FCC Construcción has won the contract to build the sanitation network in San Miguel de Abona (Tenerife). The objective of the project is to complete the sanitation network in San Miguel de Abona and take the wastewater to the treatment plant called Montaña Reverón. Thanks to this infrastructure, the provisions of Directive 91/271/CEE will be complied with, allowing the treatment of sewage prior to its discharge into the sea.

The contract awarded has an amount of more than 20 million euros and has an execution period of 26 months, in which the sanitation network will be executed and the collectors and impellers of San Miguel de Abona will be put into operation. The network of sanitation pipes will channel the wastewater from the municipality of San Miguel de Abona and will lead it to the Treatment Plant. 10 sections of pipeline will be built distributed within the municipality, with a length of 21.3 kilometers. The project also includes four pumping stations for wastewater and two pumping stations equipped with pretreatment.
