FCC Construcción wins the La Solana de Valdebebas urban development contract (Madrid, Spain)
FCC Construcción has won the contract to urbanise La Solana de Valdebebas, in Madrid. The project is worth more than 54 million euro and includes earthmoving, the provision of services and networks (sewerage, supply, energy, gas, telecommunications, lighting, etc.) and the construction of roads and service connections with existing networks; the burying of the high-voltage power line; and the construction of parks and gardens.
Within the framework of this action, three viaducts are planned, two over the Valdebebas stream and a third in the East Park area. The land to be developed has a surface area of 1,055,638.78 square metres and a buildable area of 266,349.52 square metres. The sector has an area of land for lucrative uses of 504,771 square metres. The area for tertiary uses is 7,350 square metres, the area for private use 74,697 square metres, green areas 292,607 square metres, public use 46,420 square metres and road infrastructures 211,940.78 square metres. The construction of more than 1,380 dwellings is foreseen.
This new contract joins other important urban developments currently being executed by FCC Construcción, such as Los Berrocales, which has a surface area of 1,805,000 square metres, the development of the Mahou-Calderón area and the development of the Parque Deportivo del Este de Madrid (Ciudad Deportiva del Atlético de Madrid).
