FCC Construcción wins the contract for the construction of the Barcelona prison

FCC Construcción has won the contract for the construction of the open regime prison in the Barcelona Free Zone.

The prison will have a capacity for 600 inmates who will come from the Trinitat Vella center (inmates in the third degree) and from the Wad-Ras open men's unit, in addition to another 200 places for serving sentences in progressive contact with society ( the people who have more options to reintegrate).

Officially protected housing, facilities and green areas will be built on the land that will be released in Trinitat Vella. The project budget exceeds 19 million euros and will have an execution period of 29 months.
