FCC Construcción implements preventive measures against COVID-19 in all its projects

Since the declaration of the state of alert-emergency for the pandemic caused by Covid-19, FCC Construcción has implemented different preventive measures in each and every one of its projects.

Specifically, in the Antioquia al Mar consortium, which executes the Toyo Tunnel project (Colombia), campaigns, activities and talks have been implemented for all company collaborators and their contractors, in order to report on the current situation in the country regarding to infections, signs and symptoms of infected personnel, protocols for attention in case of infections, use of masks, as well as awareness of the need for handwashing, this being one of the most effective measures to stop the spread of said virus.

Below are the actions carried out for the different activities carried out regarding the prevention of Covid-19 contagion on the project fronts:

Dissemination of the internal communication of the Antioquia Consortium to the Sea, announcing prevention measures for the Covid - 19 virus.

Installation of three sinks in offices, and the installation of 15 sinks in portable toilets was also reinforced.
Installation of prevention information sheets on the proper and correct hand washing at all hygiene points.

Training by health workers to all project staff on symptoms of covid-19, precautions, what to do in case of infection, preventive measures and preventive isolation measures.
Distribution of personal disinfection products and for work areas with which kits were made to deliver in offices and to personnel; in order to promote and guarantee clean and safe environments.

Acquisition of infrared thermometers. Daily temperature measurement is carried out for all project workers before the start of the activity as well as at the end.

A list of workers is recorded daily by medical personnel, in which a series of indicators are noted. All those personnel with symptoms proceed to preventively isolate them. Isolation is done in houses rented by the consortium. These isolated personnel follow strict monitoring and supervision by the project's medical personnel.

It is a premise for the Construction area of the FCC Group, the protection of the safety and health of employees, as well as the avoidance of any type of situation that causes mobility difficulties for them.
