FCC Construcción promotes port resilience at the 10th National Congress of the Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPC), a leading national event for the maritime and port sector, hosted by the Las Palmas Port Authority.

FCC Construcción played an active role in this tenth edition as the event’s official sponsor, reaffirming its firm commitment to technological innovation, sustainability and the advanced development of coastal and port infrastructure in Spain. The CLIMPORT project: towards a new generation of resilient ports was presented. This is a pioneering R&D&I initiative led by FCC Construcción at the head of a top-tier consortium comprising DRAGADOS, Rover Maritime, Acciona Ingeniería, SENER, PROES and the technology centre IH Cantabria.

The CLIMPORT project has successfully developed an advanced modular system that integrates climate data, state-of-the-art methodologies and digital tools specifically designed to optimise the design and construction of resilient port infrastructure. Thanks to this solution, the sector is taking a giant step towards adapting ports to the challenges posed by climate change, ensuring greater safety, durability and efficiency in maritime works.

Through its sponsorship of this 10th National Congress and its leadership in strategic projects such as CLIMPORT, FCC Construcción is consolidating its position at the forefront of civil and port engineering, firmly committing to collaborative research and digital transformation to confidently tackle the future challenges facing Spain’s coastline and ports.
