FCC Construcción has explained and presented the A-5 (Madrid) underground scheme to a business delegation from the Franco-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, as part of its business cooperation activities and analysis of major infrastructure projects in Spain. This is one of the most significant urban transformation projects currently underway in the city of Madrid. 

The technical progress and scope of this strategic project were highlighted, aimed at improving connectivity, sustainability and urban integration of one of the main access routes to the capital.

The A-5 project involves transforming this road axis into a more accessible and people-friendly environment, including the reduction of surface traffic, improved mobility through dedicated lanes for public transport, and the incorporation of green spaces and pedestrian areas. Furthermore, innovative solutions are being implemented in the areas of energy efficiency, noise management and air quality, in line with sustainable urban development objectives.
