FCC Construcción has organized together with the Madrid City Council and CEDEX, the technical sessions of "SUDS: Continuous Permeable Pavements". The conference took place on March 13, in the Wanda Metropolitan auditorium. They had a success of welcome of more than 325 people, which indicates the enormous interest by the municipal technicians and other public and private organizations for the permeability of the pavements.

The event brought together various personalities of the City Council and Ministry of Development: director of CEDEX, general director of public space, works and infrastructure of the City of Madrid, deputy general director of roads of the Ministry of Development, general deputy director of public roads of the City of Madrid, director of the center of transport studies of CEDEX, general assistant director of cleaning and equipment of the City of Madrid among others. On behalf of FCC Construcción, the area director was Spain, Portugal and Algeria, as well as the director of Zona Centro.

Permeable pavements are part of the construction trend, as one of the most complete types of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS). The permeable pavements are sections composed of several layers of construction materials, which allow the passage of water through it, from the surface to the esplanade, and together they offer the carrying capacity necessary to withstand a certain design traffic. FCC Construcción and in particular Áridos de Melo, has used this type of flooring in the Wanda Metropolitan car park, being a success in terms of results, quality of execution and durability.
