FCC Construcción has actively participated in the Spain-Saudi Arabia business meeting organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, last 03 and 04 of July.

On the occasion of the visit to Spain of the Deputy Minister of Economy (Sectoral and Regional Development) of Saudi Arabia, Eng. E Khalil Ibraheem AlWatban, accompanied by an important institutional and business delegation, the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, together with the Secretary of State de Comercio / ICEX and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE), organized the Business Meeting Spain - Saudi Arabia, within the framework of the activities derived from the Business Council.

The diversification of the Saudi economy is an unavoidable objective that is reflected in the Vision 2030, a set of ambitious economic and social measures aimed, among other issues, at strengthening the non-oil sectors, which requires a greater participation of foreign direct investment. in sectors such as renewable energy, industry, water management, petrochemicals, health and transport, among others.

On the day of 03 was attended by the general director of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, the international director of ICEX, president of international CEOE, executives of the Saudi delegation as well as the deputy to the Minister of Economy and Planning by the Saudi government. The 2030 Plan was presented at the event, as well as business sector presentations on sectors such as water, petrochemicals and industry.

On the day of 04, a visit to the Metropolitan Wanda was carried out, executed by FCC. During the visit, the Saudi delegation was shown the strengths and capabilities of FCC to execute infrastructures of great scope and technical complexity.

FCC Construcción currently runs the Riyadh Metro. Lines 4, 5 and 6 (Saudi Arabia). It is the largest subway engineering and construction contract developed by a Spanish construction company. The Riyadh metro is the world's largest subway under construction with six subway lines that will cover 176 kilometers. The first dynamic tests of the trains on Line 6 of the Metro were developed last year. This year 10.5 kilometers of Line 4 have been completed, the first tests of circulation of trains in the main line in manual mode.

In addition, FCC Construcción is currently developing:

• Contract for the design and construction of three buildings that will be used as a parking deterrent and a large urban park within the Riyadh Metro project.
• Extension line 4 Metro Riyadh to King Khalid International Airport (KKIA).
