FCC Construcción participates in the 30th anniversary of the Torres Kio

FCC Construcción has actively participated in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Torres Kio. FCC was the company responsible for its construction.

The KIO architects' project for the Plaza de Castilla plots was unveiled in June 1988.

The sketch proposed the construction of two twin towers, about 115 meters high, made up of three basement floors, a ground floor, a technical mezzanine and twenty-four office floors. The facility levels and deck would be topped by a helipad.

The inclination of the building's facade made all the office floors different from each other, since their distribution moved with respect to the central core of elevators. These were also affected by the lines of the building, making them a mystery to people who have never entered the towers.

FCC built the world's first leaning towers, in the words of its architect, John Burgee, that was "a true feat of engineering".
