FCC Construcción takes part in the Business Case of the UN Global Compact Spain

FCC Construcción has presented its best practice in the Business Case of the UN Global Compact Spain. Sustainability has evolved from being an ethical commitment to becoming an indisputable strategic pillar of corporate success.

The new UN Global Compact Strategy 2026–2030 sets out three priority areas. One of these, which is fundamental to catalysing this change, is to promote the business case for sustainability (Advance the business case). This strategic area is based on an undeniable fact: responsible business practices, aligned with the Ten Principles and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are now recognised as the main drivers of innovation, resilience and competitive advantage.

This publication brings together a distinguished selection of Business Cases led by Spanish companies, most of which have been published by the Global Compact on its international platform. FCC Construcción’s example of good practice perfectly illustrates how responsible corporate action simultaneously delivers positive environmental and social impact, as well as business returns.

FCC Construcción presented “From compliance policies to a leader-driven integrity system”. The challenge was not limited to regulatory compliance, but also involved a cultural shift: transforming the internal perception of compliance, moving away from viewing it as an administrative and financial burden towards a strategic factor that fosters trust, reputation and access to global markets.
