The event held on June 13 at the House of America, brought together various personalities such as the CEO of CAF, Secretary of State for Economy and Business Support of Spain, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina, Alta Commissioner for Latin America and the Caribbean, Department of International Trade, United Kingdom, Head of the Regional Policy Analysis Unit, DEVCO, European Commission, General Director of the Spanish Office of Climate Change, Ibero-American General Secretariat, among others.

The CAF Conference on Relations between Europe and Latin America is an annual meeting that brings together prominent opinion leaders, from different sectors, to address the main common challenges facing both regions.

In a global context marked by the emergence of multiple leaderships and the lack of consensus to address the great challenges at the global level, whether in the commercial, political or environmental, among many others, dialogue and rapprochement between Europe and Latin America they are indispensable.

This edition of the CAF Conference in Europe featured three panels. The first panel focused on the analysis of the state of relations between both regions in the new global context, in order to identify the main challenges of both regions (the emergence of new forms of populism, the Brexit and the development of a new generation of commercial agreements, among other topics).

The second panel addressed the challenges in terms of digital inclusion for cities and territories, highlighting successful experiences and partnerships between the public and private sectors in terms of financial inclusion, provision of services and improvements in urban and territorial management.

The third panel focused on the identification of the opportunities that green financing brings for the rapprochement between both regions and sustainable development, in a context of preparation of the COP25 in Chile.
