FCC Construcción participated in the IV FAEC-EPC TRACKER on the use of ICT to boost competitiveness in the Construction Sector.

The event was held on 06 February at the Palacio de Congresos of Cadiz.

The objectives of the event lie in the need to raise awareness in the sector about the importance of the use of new technologies. Ensure the updating of knowledge in relation to the technological trends that affect the sector. Present the experiences of success in the sector with the use of ICT. Provide a networking channel to industry agents who are committed to technological innovation and create a specialized reference platform that monitors the technological advances that can boost the competitiveness of the sector.

The day was inaugurated by Emilio Corbacho, President FAEC, Javier Sánchez, CEC President, María Gema Pérez Lozano, Territorial Delegate for Economy, Innovation, Science and Employment. Junta de Andalucía and Irene García Macías, President Diputación Cádiz. FCC Construcción was represented by Alberto Lapeña, responsible for IT, at the round table entitled "Visualizing the impact of ICT in the future of the construction sector", in which the main IT representatives of the construction sector participated.

A pedagogical and awareness-raising work was carried out on the potential and possible applications of these new solutions, so that the digital gap that exists in the sector in terms of use and use of ICT in comparison with other sectors is shortened and it is possible that the Construction Sector becomes more technology-intensive.
