FCC Construcción participates in the International Short Course and Conference on Applied Coastal Research 2017 seminars
The “IHCantabria” Water Institute of the University of Cantabria together with the University of Salento (Italy), International Association of Hydraulic Engineering and Research (IAHR) and the Institute of Coasts, Oceans, Ports and Rivers organised SCACR 2017. Engineers, physicists, mathematicians, geologists and oceanographers together with everyone interested in coastal engineering met in Santander.
FCC Construcción participated as the “Key Lecture.” Francisco Esteban Lefler (Technical Director) gave the speech “Research and Innovation Challenges in Marine Construction” in which, among many aspects, he described the main innovations and developments in marine works. The attendees included Maurizio Brocchini, Professor, Polytechnic University of Marche, Italy, Miguel Losada of the University of Granada and Jose Jimenez of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
FCC Construcción presented its portfolio of numerous marine and river works of great technical complexity throughout the world. For this it has machinery and a Technical Services team able to innovate in each of its undertakings and monitor all its works worldwide. The references included notably the Port of Badalona, Monaco Dock, Laredo Marina in Cantabria, Dock 4 in the Rota Naval Vase, the enlargement of the Açu super port (Brazil), the Port of El Callao (Peru), the floating harbour wall in the Port of La Condamine (Principality of Monaco) and the new lock in the Port of Seville.
