FCC Construccion participates in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations
FCC Construcción participates in the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations. The events took place on February 28 and March 1, at the College of Civil Engineers and the Institute of Engineering of Spain.
On the day of the 28th, Water Monographies IV was presented and the gala dinner was held, in the course of which the 1st Manuel Lorenzo Pardo Award of the Association of Civil Engineers was given to the Good Practices in the Water management. Day 1 was held on the "Challenges of Engineering in the fulfillment of Sustainable Development Goal 6, Water".
This day was inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, Food and Environment, Isabel García Tejerina; the president of the Institute of Engineering of Spain, Carlos del Álamo Jiménez; the president of the College of Civil Engineers, Juan A. Santamera Sánchez, among other personalities. During this day, topics such as: "The Institute of Engineering of Spain and its international activity" were discussed; "Water in Portugal and compliance with the SDG"; "Water in Spain and compliance with SDG 6"; "Road to the World Water Forum Brasilia 2018" and the presentation of the Madrid declaration "Water: the future we want".
FCC Construcción participated through A. Burgueño, Director of Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility, in the round table "Challenges for engineering: contribution to SDG 6, Water". FCC Construcción adhered to the United Nations Global Compact in 2004. As a founding member of ASEPAM, it has participated in its activities since the beginning, in order to share good practices that promote the implementation of the Ten Principles.
