FCC Construcción has participated in a coordination meeting with the Global Infrastructure Hub and SEOPAN.
The meeting was held in Madrid, at the headquarters of SEOPAN, on July 10. Companies from the sector, such as COBRA, Acciona, Ferrovial, Cintra and Eurofinsa), as well as the President of SEOPAN and the General Secretariat of Treasury and International Financing, Ministry of Economy and Business of the Government of Spain.
The GI Hub is interested in contacting large infrastructure companies to know and show "best practices or innovation" projects and to form working groups to exchange information. On the other hand, the representative of the Government of Spain, indicated that Spain will begin to form part of the Strategic Council of the GI Hub and, in addition, will propose the country as as headquarters for the office they want to open in Europe.
The Global Infrastructure Hub is the only organization dedicated exclusively to infrastructure in developed and emerging markets. They collaborate with governments, the private sector, multilateral development banks and other international organizations to promote an enabling environment that allows the identification and development of infrastructure projects that are of high quality, sustainable and necessary.
Its objective is to help close the gap between the public and private sectors, help governments unlock private investments to finance public infrastructure, thus creating productive economies and more livable cities.
Strategic and Business Plan 2019 - 2022
The Strategic Plan sets the Global Infrastructure Hub's priorities for its next four-year term. This plan will allow GI Hub to continue supporting the G20 objectives of increasing the quality and quantity of infrastructure worldwide, working in collaboration with governments around the world, the private sector, multilateral development banks, international organizations and other interested parties.
