FCC Construcción participates in the Technical Conference “Opportunity in the industrialization of facades”
FCC Construcción has participated in the Technical Conference “Opportunity in the industrialization of facades”, through the presence of Eduardo Romero, responsible for construction of the company's Project supervision department.
The conference held at the Eduardo Torroja Institute of Construction Sciences IETCC CSIC and organized by ENAR Envolventes Arquitectónicas, analyzed the situation of prefabrication in construction in Spain, which has historically gone through several attempts without establishing a trend that overthrows traditional on-site construction.
The advantages of industrialized construction are abundant: cost control, control of execution times, speed of assembly on site, permanent quality control, control of certified performance, elimination of scaffolding, increased safety on site, site cleaning, waste reduction and a list of good meanings in terms of sustainability and reducing the carbon footprint. Given this current situation, the advantages of industrialization on facades were analyzed with the aim of promoting off-site construction, disseminating the work carried out and converting them into common ways of working today.
The panel in which FCC Construcción participated analyzed the challenges of the industrialization of facades in the current situation of the sector, as well as the improvements and opportunities that these systems provide in matters such as quality of execution, reduction of deadlines, energy savings and The sustainability.
